(08/16/2014)
ARRESTS MADE IN FOODLAND CLERK SHOOTING - Two men and a teenage boy were arrested Friday night in connection with the shooting and robbery Thursday at the Foodland in Kanawha City, and two women are wanted.

Ricky Patterson and John Proctor III both face first-degree robbery charges. Proctor also faces a malicious wounding charge.

A teenage boy also was arrested.

Two women in the getaway vehicle are wanted on first-degree robbery charges.

Police say Foodland employee Shawna Sampson, 44, was shot in the chest. She is in ICU at a Charleston hospital.

PHARMACY HOLD-UP - Three men were arrested Friday night in connection with an attempted robbery at a A+Care Pharmacy in Barboursville.

Deputies said two of the men walked into the business with pantyhose over their heads, while the other waited in the car. The men showed an employee their knives.

A worker hit a panic button and ran out of the business, but not before getting a good look at the suspects' get-away vehicle.

Late Friday night, deputies and West Virginia State Police troopers tracked the suspects down on U.S. 60 near the 29th Street exit of Interstate 64.
