(08/16/2014)
A suspect police had been searching for in the murder of a Letart, Mason County woman, was discovered dead Friday in Roane County.

Charles Anderson, 60, was found dead in a wooded area off Sandy Hollow Road, according to West Virginia State Police.

The area is near the Jackson County line in the Liverpool-Reedy section of Roane County.

Police say he died from an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.

WVSP says a passing motorist noticed Anderson's abandoned truck along Sandy Hollow Road.

When officers arrived at the scene, they matched the truck to Anderson and later found him dead in nearby woods.

Anderson was wanted for the murder of his wife, 54-year-old Kathy Anderson. She was found shot to death inside her home in Letart on Wednesday.
