ASSESSOR PROVIDES HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION/ASSESSMENT INFORMATION

Calhoun Assessor Jason Nettles is reminding Calhoun citizens of deadlines for the 2015 tax year. - Personal property assesstment blanks: Oct. 1, 2014. - Business assessments: Sept. 1, 2014. - Farm reports: Sept. 2, 2014. If you are 65 or older or have 100% disability, you can apply for Homestead Exemption on the property you own and live. To qualify, you must be 65 or older by June 30, 2015. Forms are available at the Assessor's Office and are due December 1, 2014. You need proof of age (drivers license) or for disability Award Notification Letter from Social Security.
