CALHOUN SCHOOL BOARD WILL HEAR FINANCIAL AUDIT TODAY - Board Will Vote Postponing Policy Charging Facility Usage To Outside Groups

The Calhoun Board of Education will meets today at 5:30 p.m. to hear a financial audit of the school system by the Eyfee Jones Group, presented by financial officer Daniel Minney. Calhoun schools have been facing an $800,000 operating deficit. The first draft of the school operating levy that will be placed on the November ballot will be read. On the agenda is the postponement of a proposed school policy to charge outside groups for the use of school facilities, and the approval of student handbooks for county schools.
