| Lucy Mae Moss age 87 of Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life Monday morning August 4, 2014 at the Cedar Grove Assisted Living Facility in Parkersburg, West Virginia, following an extended illness. Born September 23, 1926 in Gilmer County, West Virginia, daughter of the late John and Oma Barker Miller. Lucy along with her husband John, were the owners and operators of the Blue Ribbon Restaurant in Glenville in the 1960's and 1970's. She was retired from Kenny Shoe Company. Lucy enjoyed cooking, reading, making candy, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she was a Christian by faith. Lucy was united in marriage to John William Moss who preceded her in death on May 7, 2007. Surviving are 8 children, Sue McKinney of Dansville, New York, Sharon Mencer and husband Jim of Glenville, Pat Huston and husband Paul of Hundred, West Virginia, Robyn Johnson and husband George of Grantsville, West Virginia, Steve Moss of Glenville, Jeff Moss of Glenville, David Moss and wife Pam of Glenville, and John Moss and wife Pam of Glenville. There are 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild also surviving. Along with her parents and husband, Lucy was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Sheila Moss Conrad; 1 granddaughter, Christina Conrad Stalvey; 4 brothers, Edward, Hilbert, Marshall and Howard Miller; and 1 sister, Floda Jelinek. Family funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV, 26351 at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Moss Cemetery, on Little Bull Run. Friends may call from 1-2 Saturday at the Mortuary. Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Lucy Moss with arrangements.
