Lillian M. (Nina) Moore, 84 - Ambler Ridge

Lillian M. (Nina) Moore, 84, of Ambler Ridge, West Virginia, passed away on July 30, 2014 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, West Virginia after a long illness.

She was born April 4, 1929 on Paxton Ridge near Walton, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Amos D. and Nettie Dobbins Paxton. She was a former cook for the Roane County Board of Education, a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Nina was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Otha Darrell Moore; two grandsons, Joseph and Paul Nichols; two sisters, Hazel Marks and Georgia Hardman; and eight brothers, Lyle, Ebbie, Kermit, Otmer, Delbert, Kenneth, Charles, and Glennis "Jim" Paxton.

She is survived by her daughters, Drema Moore and Cheta and Bill Deel of Walton; a step-son, Otho Larry Moore of Kenna, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Roy (Donna) Nichols of Virginia, and Chris (Lisa) Deel, Josh (Leslie) Deel and Lita Moore, all of Walton; and six great-grandchildren, Bailey, Colby, William, Eli, Adrian, and Paul.

Service will be Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia, with Rev. Jonathan Harper officiating. Burial will be in the Paxton Cemetery on Paxton Ridge. Visiting is Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
