WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Charleston Woman Murdered, Man Makes Threats In Movie House

CHARLESTON WOMAN SLAIN - Charleston Police are investigating the murder of female Branda Basham, 22, whose body was found near railroad tracks.

Residents confirmed gunshots at that location about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

No suspects have been named and police say there are no persons of interest.

MAN THREATENS SHOOTING IN MOVIE HOUSE - A Cross Lanes man Tod Austin Ingram, 52, accused of threatening to shoot someone in a movie theater has been arrested, and it turns out he's no stranger to sheriff's deputies.

Ingram is being charged with a felony of making terroristic threats.

Witnesses told deputies that Ingram was being loud, disruptive and arguing with people during a movie at the Great Escape Theater in Nitro.

When one man asked him to be quiet, Ingram said he had a gun and threatened to shoot him. He also threatened to fight him in the parking lot.

When deputies searched Ingram, no guns were found.

Deputies say when Ingram was arrested and escorted from the theater, customers broke out into applause.

Police said Ingram has also been arrested and convicted of driving under the influence and domestic violence charges.

MAN KILLS SELF IN STAND-OFF - A Newell man shot and killed himself following a domestic dispute and standoff with police Friday night according to the Hancock County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators said it began when a man got into a fight with a woman and allegedly used a baseball bat. She ran from the scene and police responded. A standoff then took place.

Investigators said the man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
