MAN STABBED TWICE BY FIANCÉE IN CALHOUN

Brandon Royce McCoy was stabbed by his fiancée Sunday in Calhoun County, likely sending him to the hospital.

No information is available regarding his condition.

State Police Sgt. M. S. Godfrey of the Grantsville detachment arrested Sarah Elizabeth Cottrell, 25, of Maysel (left), Clay County, and charged her with unlawful wounding, according to the criminal complaint.

Sgt. Godfrey, in the complaint, says the victim gave a statement saying his fiancée stabbed him twice, once in the right upper abdomen and once in the right thigh.

The complaint did not say where the the incident happened.

Cottrell is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $20,000.

State Police in Calhoun does not release local public information regarding incidents.

Lucas Lee Godfrey, 19, of Calhoun was arrested on nighttime burglary charges in Wirt County, according to Central Regional Jail.
