SPENCER MAN REMAINS IN JAIL AFTER STABBING MAN MULTIPLE TIMES - Charges Include Attempted Murder

A Roane County man who was charged with malicious assault, wounding, battery, attempted murder, and nighttime burglary, remains in Central Regional Jail with bail set at $300,000.

Christopher Shawn Anderson, 37, allegedly stabbed 30-year-old Jonathan Starcher, multiple times in his own bed, while sleeping with his wife.

Anderson broke into the residence about 2 a.m. and stabbed Starcher with a pocket knife in the face, midsection and legs.

Deputy Matt Cooper with the Roane Sheriffs Department told Spencer Newspapers they believe Anderson had a relationship with Starcher's wife.

Starcher has been released from a Charleston hospital.
