Richard Orvel Keeney, Sr. 58 - Mineral Wells

Richard Orvel Keeney, Sr. 58 of Mineral Wells, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 16, 2014 after a long illness.

He was born August 3, 1955 in Madison, WV the son of the late Pauline Rose Keeney of Madison WV and Glenn Patrick Keeney, Sr. of Spencer WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers Mark Anthony Keeney and Glenn Patrick Keeney Jr. both of Spencer and Gary Allen Keeney of Madison.

He is survived by 3 sons, Richard Orvel Keeney Jr. of Sandyville WV, Chad Everett Keeney and wife Chasity of Mineral Wells and Jarrett Dan Saylor and girlfriend B.J. Singleton of Ripley WV; one brother and sister-in-law Michael A. and Laura L. Keeney of Walton WV; grandsons Tyler Anthony Keeney and Dylan Austin Keeney of Mineral Wells and granddaughters Kaylee Rose Keeney of Mineral Wells and Riley Ann Saylor of Ripley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Prior to his health conditions, he served in the US Army and was honorably discharged. He was also a long haul truck driver for Midwest Transportation. He was an avid guitar player, wood worker, muscle car enthusiast and CB'er with the deserving CB handle of Sunshine.

Services will be at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home in Spencer, WV at 1 p.m. Friday June 20th, with Minister Jack Barnett officiating. He will be laid to rest at Hodam Cemetery in Reedy WV next to his father and brother.
