Charles D. "Chuck" Starcher, 24 - Spencer

Charles D. "Chuck" Starcher, 24, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, in the Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, from burns he received in a tank explosion on June 10, 2014.

He was born January 11, 1990, in Germany, a son of Harold A. Starcher of Spencer and Debra E. Runnion Criner of Spencer.

Chuck was a laborer and a graduate of Roane County High School.

In addition to his mother and father, survivors include a son, Lucas Allen Starcher of Amma WV; stepfather, Timothy F. Criner of Spencer; stepmother, Robin Starcher of Spencer; brothers, Daniel Starcher of Massillon, Ohio, Andrew Starcher of Spencer and Joshua Starcher of Parkersburg WV; grandmother, Jane Runnion of Spencer.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Justin S. Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Criner Family Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call one hour before the service Thursday.
