ROANE I-79 BRIEFLY CLOSED MONDAY - Truck With Explosives

(06/17/2014)
Interstate 79 was closed for less than an hour late Monday night after a tractor-trailer hauling explosives developed fuel line problems in Roane County, according to West Virginia Homeland Security.

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Monday near the 25-mile marker.

The state Homeland Security spokeswoman said the interstate was shut down as a precaution, and there was no terrorist threat.

No one was hurt, and the tractor-trailer was hauled away for repairs.
