THREE INJURED WHEN TREE CRASHES ON TRUCK DURING STORM

A man and two women received injuries Wednesday afternoon when a tree fell across US 33/119 near Sand Ridge, crushing the cab of a truck. The tree fell during an electric storm that swept across the county about 4 p.m. The windshield caved forward on the victims, and the cab was crushed in. Responders said the victims were using seat belts. All three were taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System by MHHS EMS. Their injuries did not appear to be critical.
