THIEVES ENTER MILO CHURCH - 300 T-Shirts Stolen At Molasses Festival

(09/30/2002)

The Milo Church has breaking and entering

Thieves have broken into the Milo Church, taking gasoline and other items. The church is situated near the highway in the rural West Fork community.

Earl Ragland, a longtime Milo resident, who has been a mainstay at the country church was recently injured in a 4-wheeler accident at Milo. He was air-lifted to Charleston Area Medical Center and is now recovering at home.

A vendor at the Molasses Festival reported a large quantity of T-shirts stolen Friday night. Festival co-chairperson Linda McCartney said she thought about 300 shirts were missing. "This is the first time something like this has happened. But I think something happened at Clay's Apple Festival," she said.

Authorities are investigating both incidents.
