Tyrena Dawn Mangus, 47 - Mt. Zion

Tyrena Dawn Mangus, 47, of Mt. Zion, West Virginia, died Thursday, May 29, 2014, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.

She was born September 27, 1966 at Man, Logan County, the daughter of Patty Irene Cook Mangus of Mt. Zion and the late Larry Paige Mangus. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Mangus.

In addition to her mother, survivors include three nieces, Ryka Mangus, Paige Mangus and Harley Alexander; a nephew, Curtis Mangus, Jr.; a grand nephew, Kayden Stewart.

Tyrena attended the WV School for the Deaf, Romney, the Five Forks Community Church, Five Forks, and the United Summit Center, Glenville.

There will be no visitation or funeral. A memorial service and burial in the Collins Cemetery, Stumptown is being planned for a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Parkersburg WV Office, 3901 Briscoe Road, Suite 10, Parkersburg, WV 26104.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
