VANDALIA GATHERING RENEWS APPLACHIAN CULTURE THIS WEEKEND

West Virginia will celebrate its heritage and culture this weekend with the Vandalia Gathering at the state Capitol Complex. Featured will be some of the best music makers, performers and crafters. Music contests on Saturday and Sunday will feature old-time fiddle, bluegrass banjo, lap dulcimer and mandolin. The Liars Contest will be held at the Culture Center on Sunday. A number of Calhoun and regional residents generally perform at the event.
