Marshall L. "Beech" Flaughers

(05/13/2014)
Marshall L. "Beech" Flaughers, born June 29, 1948, has gone home to rest with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 10, 2014.

Marshall was a proud Local 900 Union member and dedicated hard working welder-grinder at the Babcock and Wilcox Company in Barberton, Ohio, having retired after 31 years of service.

Marshall was an active farmer his entire life with an unwavering love of his cattle, gardens and hummingbirds.

Marshall had a lifelong interest in helping others in times of need and could be found auctioneering at benefits, cooking and serving food or just being a friend that could lift most anyone's spirit with his unique humor. He had a joy of life and a spirit that can never be matched.

Marshall is preceded in death by his father, Hazel B. Flaughers, mother Erma Sears Flaughers and brother Milford "Sug" Sears, all of Chloe, WV.

Marshall is survived by brother David B. Flaughers of Mogadore, Ohio, Catherine L. Flaughers, son and best friend, Steven Roy Flaughers of Akron, Ohio.

The Flaughers family wishes to thank very close friends and family Janice See, Butch (Jan) See, Sheila Criner, Roy (Sharon) Tuner, all of WV, for their loyalty, friendship and care. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014, 1:00 pm at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with Rev. Dewey Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in the Flaughers Family Cemetery at Floe, Clay County. Friends may call from 11:00-1:00 pm, prior to the services.
