GRANTSVILLE MOVING FORWARD ON $1,200,000 WASEWATER IMPROVEMENTS - Special Council Meeting Thursday

The Town of Grantsville is under DEP order to remedy inflow and infiltration systems at the current treatment facility.

"This is the second phase of the town's wastewater improvement plan. The goal is to bring the collection system into compliance and make much needed repairs to the treatment facility," said Mayor Curtis Garretson.

The upgrades and improvements of this project will allow Grantsville to improve operation of the wastewater treatment and collection system to be in compliance

Garretson said the total estimated project cost is $1,200,000.

Plans are underway for the council to consider the project be funded through USDA-Rural Development, a $310,000.00 loan and $890,000 grant.

The council has a special meeting scheduled Thursday at 4:30 p.m. with two items on the agenda:

- Approval of USDAF Grant & Loan and & all documents associated with the Wastewater System Improvement Project.
