ROANE YOUTH PLEADS WITH JUDGE NOT TO JAIL DOCTOR

The teen victim of an alleged battery by Roane Co. physician Dr. Kenneth Seen, plead with Judge Thomas Evans III to not jail the doctor in Roane Circuit Court, according to the Times Record/Roane County Reporter.

The victim who was 14 at the time, according to a criminal complaint, was assaulted at a store-front church Dr. Seen was operating in downtown Spencer in 2012.

The youth was not injured during the alleged assault.

The victim spoke with Judge Evans, saying "What he done was wrong, but I don't want to see him go to jail." The charges carry a maximum jail sentence of one year.

The youth told the judge that Dr. Seen had played an important role in his life, according to the Times Record/Roane County Reporter.

Dr. Seen had already been placed on two years probation and ordered to serve 300 hours of community service related to an incident where Dr. Seen had placed his tongue in an elderly man's mouth, and the man, who suffered from dementia, bit part of the doctor's tongue off.

The court ordered that the doctor be placed on a Sex Offender list for 10 years.

In the battery case on the juvenile, Judge Evans sentenced Dr. Seen to an additional year of probation, saying "These issues seem to have resolved themselves.

Dr. Seen's medical license has been suspended.
