COURT SENTENCES CALHOUN MAN TO ONE-YEAR HOME CONFINEMENT VIOLATING PROBATION

Calhoun prosecutor Shannon Johnson said Judge Thomas Evans III, this week, sentenced Allen Keith Carpenter, 23, of Altizer Road, to one year of home confinement, after Carpenter admitted to violating his probation.

Carpenter was indicted in 2013 for operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug laboratory .

Johnson said a pre-trial hearing for John Franklin Cash of Grantsville was continued upon motion of the state to June 23, with a trial set for July 1.

Cash was indicted in January on one count of Operating or Attempting to Operate a Clandestine Drug Laboratory, also facing a charge of making Terrorist Acts.
