CASE AGAINST WIRT MEN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ABUSE WAIVED TO CIRCUIT COURT

A preliminary hearing was held Wednesday morning in Wirt Magistrate Court for a Wirt county man and his two sons, residents of the Munday community, all facing sexual abuse charges, including incest.

The charges have been waived to circuit court and will be considered by a grand jury for indictment.

- Randy Lane Hammer (Crabtree) the father of the child, allegedly sexually assaulted the girl, who was below the age of 12, then in several locations on his property in August 2013, but as early as June 2004, eight felony charges, according to a criminal complaint. Bond is set at $160,000.

- Thomas Rex Hammer (Crabtree) 23, has been charged with incest, sexual assault 1st degree, and sexual assault 3rd degree, three felony charges. Bond is set at $75,000.

- Paul Randolph Hammer (Crabtree) 25, is accused of sexually assaulting the girl at least twice between January 2008 and December 2009 at their former residence on Brohard Road, three felony charges, according to the complaint. Bond is set at $75,000.

The men are in North Central Regional Jail after 25-30 officers went to the family residence at Munday, Wirt County, on April 22nd to execute the warrants.
