Grow the Extra Row is an educational training for home gardeners to expand their gardens and sell produce at the local farmers market.

Daisy Bailey, WVU Extension Agent-Agriculture says, "Growing the extra row is a great way for families or individuals to supplement their income by offering the extra produce they grow in their home gardens at the local farmers market."

The workshop topics that will be covered are: Planning and Planting the Extra Row, Pricing Your Product for Market, and Market Rules and Regulations. RSVP to the workshop by calling, 304-354-6332.

The Grantsville Farmers Market is set to open Thursday, June 5, at the Wayne Underwood Field, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The market is seeking individuals that would like to participate as vendors, with available produce, plants, flowers, farm based crafts, meats, jams, jellies, and a number of other agriculture related items.
