Garnet Lorraine Bartlett Vanhorn, 82 - Spencer

Garnet Lorraine Bartlett Vanhorn, 82, of Spencer, West Virginia died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born March 19, 1932 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Harley and Cammie Bartlett. She graduated from Spencer High School and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She was an original employee of Roane General Hospital and upon retirement was a member of the Roane General Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by son, Steve, his wife, Laura and granddaughter, Olivia of Morgantown; brother, Ronald Bartlett and wife, Dortha and sister-in-law, Melanie Bartlett, all of Spencer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1999; brothers, Harley, Jr., Smith and Larry Bartlett; and sister, Ruth Bartlett Bowen.

Family and friends will be received at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME in Spencer from 4:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday with services at Faith Baptist Church in Spencer at 1:00pm Wednesday with internment to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun County, West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 483, Spencer WV 25276.

The family would like to thank everyone who sent cards, gifts, and flowers during Lorraine's illness.
