Reta Mae Stewart, 78 - St. Petersburg, Florida

Reta Mae Stewart, 78, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on April 18, 2014. Reta Mae was born on February 24, 1936, in Apple Farm, West Virginia to Robert Shock and Hilda (Gherke) Shock. She graduated from Mountain State College in 1955.

She is survived by her loving husband William Fitzgerald Stewart of St. Petersburg FL; daughter and son-in-law Susan Stewart and Luis Sepulveda of Meadville PA; daughter and partner, Mary Ann Stewart and Michelle Yelk, of St. Petersburg; son and daugther-in-law William F. and Lisa Stewart of Pittsburgh PA; 5 loving grandchildren Carmen, Isabel, Sofia, Miranda and Mary Katherine; sister Ruby Shock of Grantsville WV; brother, Darrell Shock of Grantsville and sister Grace Harper of Daytona Beach FL.

Reta lived with her family in Berea OH and then moved on to Pittsburgh PA before retiring as an Administrative Assistant in Academia, in 2000. Following retirement she moved to St. Petersburg. She was a loving mother, devout Christian and devoted grandmother. She provided love and guidance to all who entered her life. She lived her Christian values and showed her family how to live selflessly every day.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 26, 2014, 1:00 pm at the Rush Run Baptist Church with Rev. John Vannoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Shock Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 12:00-1:00 pm prior to the services. Stump funeral Home in Grantsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
