It seems as if the Calhoun County Parks pond stocking has been a rather large success. A three-year-old girl caught her first trout on youth day. I know of two very large trout that have been taken so far. Brian WIlson caught a four pound brown trout and Kenny Lemley is rumored to have caught another really large brown trout.

The trout stocked are very large. Even the smaller fish are very fat and healthy. These fish are larger than the ones stocked by the state of West Virginia.

This stocking was made possible by private donations. The more money that is donated, the more trout we can stock.
