Donald Wayne Lyons, 56 - Spencer

Donald Wayne Lyons, 56, of Spencer, West Virginia died April 6, 2014 at Charleston Area Medical center's General Division in Charleston, West Virginia.

He was born February 9, 1958 in Mansfield, Ohio a son of the late Noel Jackson and Mary Louise Moats Lyons. He was a kindergarten bus driver, worked in a nursing home and enjoyed watching wrestling on television.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ulbrich Lyons; two daughters, Amber Dawn White and Michelle Renee Atkinson, both of Ohio; one son, Brian Wood of Cross Lanes, West Virginia; two sisters, Sharon Simpkins and Rosemary Rowland and her husband, James, both of Ohio; two brothers, Carl Lyons and his wife, Ruth of Ohio, and Robert Lyons of Bancroft, West Virginia; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his special companion, his dog, Peanut.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Neba Blair; and five brothers, David, Paul, Harold, William and Roger Lyons.

His body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Sunset Apartments on Smith Street in Spencer. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Sunset.

Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer is in charge of arrangements for the Lyons family. There will be no service or visitation at the funeral home.
