WRONGFUL DISCHARGE SUIT FILED AGAINST MINNIE HAMILTON HEALTH CARE - Judgment Sought Against Deep Well Drilling Company

A former employee of Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center has brought a civil suit against the organization. Bambi L. Parsons, a former Director of Business Services, claims she was wrongfully discharged by CEO Barbara Lay and is seeking monetary, compensatory and punitive damages. The suit was filed September 10 by Spencer attorney Anita Harold Ashley, requesting a jury trial.

A civil suit has been filed related to deep well drilling on Rt. 5 near the mouth of Bull River. Ardent Resources of Pittsburgh, the drill, is being sued by Great Lakes Directional Drilling, Inc. who provided oil field services and is seeking $72,802.

Other civil cases: Loren B. and Bill Howley vs. Steve Satterfield, a declaratory judgment over an undivided interest in oil, gas and mineral rights in a 100 1/2 tract in Washington District.

First Select Inc. vs. Naomi Ruth Dawson for $7,697.

United Hospital Center vs. John Snyder for $10,405 for medical services.

First Select Inc. vs. Sandra K. Church for $1,595.

Ebbetts Partners Ltd. vs. George and Karen Settles for $6,051 and other costs.

Calhoun Bank vs. Danny Walker for $88,553.
