GILMER MAN CHARGED WITH MALICIOUS WOUNDING

State Police in Gilmer County have arrested Clayton McCune, 43, and charged him following an incident at a residence on Messenger Road in Glenville. He has been charged with malicious wounding and battery. When police arrived at the residence, they found two victims, Stephanie Knotts and Charlotte McCune, with bruising and swelling on their faces and neck. The women told police that McCune hit them in the face after an argument with Knotts. Knotts also had a laceration on her back. McCune is in the Central Regional Jail.
