WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Preston Woman Kills Husband, Conceals Body

WOMAN KILLS AND CONCEALS BODY OF HUSBAND - A Preston County woman is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail for allegedly shooting and concealing the body of her husband in a bathroom under clothes and other household items.

Nicole Knotts, 23, is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail after the body of Matthew Knotts was found in the couple's home in Bruceton Mills.

Knotts, 23, is charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a body.

Matthew Knotts was reported missing on Monday.

He had not been to work in weeks and his mother said she had not been able to reach him since March 7.

Nicole Knotts originally claimed Matthew left the area with a girlfriend.

REEDSVILLE MAN CHARGED IN STABBING - A Reedsville man, Zachary Scott Shreve, 23, has been arrested and charged with malicious assault, a stabbing in Buckhannon.

Steven Arbogast told police he was stabbed by Shreve.

Police say Shreve was told to leave by Arbogast, after which he responded "I'm going to gut you" and swung a knife at Arbogast.

A criminal complaint says Arbogast suffered a small laceration on his left hand, but was able to grab the knife and tackle the victim during the altercation.

Shreve is in the Central Regional Jail and his bail is set at $7,500.

MORGANTOWN HEIST - Morgantown Police responded to an armed robbery at Long John Silver's Restaurant.

The manager told police a man entered the restaurant, showed him a silver handgun, and took an unknown amount of money from the registers.
