(03/18/2014)
Ritchie County Superintendent Ed Toman is asking for $6 million to renovate the Creed Collins Elementary school, one of many requests for $45 million to be issued by the WV School Building Authority.

"[We need to make it] handicapped accessible, new lighting, flooring, a new kitchen/cafeteria, new front entrance," Toman explained.

Toman is asking for $6.3 million from the SBA with the county shelling out an additional $250,000. He admits getting the funding is a long shot.
