WEST UNION WOMAN KILLED IN RITCHIE CRASH

A West Union woman, Amber McClain, 37, died from injuries received in a Ritchie County crash Sunday. The accident happened on River Road, old US 50. McClain was traveling east on Old Route 50 when she lost of control of the vehicle, crossed the westbound lane, ran off of the left side of the road, traveled down an embankment, and struck a tree. Police said the impact caused McClain, who was not wearing a seat belt, to be partially ejected through the driver's window.
