GASOLINE PRICES WILL BE GOING UP WHILE DEMAND IS DOWN

(03/11/2014)
The ides of March brings on higher gasoline prices.

The rising costs have nothing to do with increased demand or geopolitical instability, but the cause this year is seasonal refinery maintenance.

AAA reports the average cost of a gallon of regular unleaded in West Virginia ($3.50) is already 13 cents higher than a month ago.

The good news, according to AAA, today's average gas price is 27.5 cents less than it was one year ago ($3.78).

AAA predicts the average U.S. gas price will peak somewhere between $3.55 to $3.75 a gallon by mid-April.
