Woodrow Edison Schoolcraft, 75 - Sand Ridge

Woodrow Edison Schoolcraft, 75, of Sand Ridge, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at home.

He was born October 14, 1938 in Calhoun County, a son of the late William John and Iva Belle Cogar Schoolcraft. He was an equipment operator for West Virginia Paving for over 30 years and was a farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes Aretta Settle Schoolcraft; his children, Scott (Brittney) Schoolcraft of Sand Ridge Road and Becky (Roger) Stalnaker of Normantown, West Virginia; grandchildren, Brandon (Alyssa) Jenkins of Bridgeport, West Virginia, Nicole (Ryan) Snyder of Buckhannon, West Virginia, and Shane Schoolcraft of Sand Ridge Road; a step-granddaughter, Selene Stalnaker of Clarksburg, West Virginia; two great-granddaughters, Avalene and Bryer Jenkins; his sisters, Avanell(Kenman) Stump of Washington Court House, Ohio, Evadeen (Charles) Rader of Barberton, Ohio, and Lou Grimm of Grantsville, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Eugene.

There will be no visitation or service as Woodrow's wish was to be cremated but the family requests that donations be made in Woodrow's name to Hospice Care, P.O. Box 323, Burnsville, WV 26335.

Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
