| Mark Anthony Coon, 49, Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, West Virginia after a sudden illness.
He was born January 28, 1965 in Jackson County, a son of Iverson and Betty Runnion Coon of Reedy, West Virginia. He was a former social worker.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Leasa Fint McVay Coon; a daughter, Holly Coon of Parkersburg; a son, Logan Coon of Parkersburg; a step-daughter, Kristin Knight of Parkersburg; three sisters, Dianna (David) Moore of Evans, West Virginia, Shelly (David) Willham of Reedy, and Sherry (Jamie) Burton of Jane Lew, West Virginia; six brothers, Stephen (Terry) Coon of Elizabeth, David Coon of Reedy, Bobby (Silvia) Coon of Leroy, West Virginia, Ivan (Robin) Coon of West Liberty, West Virginia, Rick (Angel) Coon of Moorefield, West Virginia, and Christopher (Barbara) Coon of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Pleasant Grove Church near Reedy with Pastor John Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
