ALLEGED BOMB THREAT AT CALHOUN-MIDDLE HIGH - State Police Investigating

1 PM WEDNESDAY -A bomb threat was reported at Calhoun Middle-High School shortly before noon today.

The threat was reportedly etched or written on a stall in the High School boy's bathroom. The message was reported as saying, "This school will blow on 3/5/14 at noon."

Parents received automated alerts from the school advising them of the situation.

Calhoun Office of Emergency Services Director, Kathy Wood along with State and County law enforcement was called to the school at about 11:50 a.m. The Grantsville Volunteer Dept. and a Minnie Hamilton Ambulance was also on the scene.

High school students were evacuated to the field on Rt. 16 across from the Dept. of Highways. Middle school students were evacuated to a ball field behind the school.

Students who were not picked-up by parents were taken out of the cold to the county bus garage and later returned to the school.

The Grantsville Detachment of the WV State Police investigating the incident.

Calhoun Schools did not respond to phone call requests regarding the incident.
