WINTER STORM WATCH ISSUED FOR REGION

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon for Calhoun and the region.

The National Weather Service is predicting hazardous weather, freezing rain, sleet and eventually snow.

The possibility of more than a quarter inch of ice from freezing rain and/or the possibility of 5 inches or more of snow and sleet, more accumulation at higher elevations.

The storm will peak late Sunday night into Monday morning, then diminish Monday afternoon.
