(02/26/2014)
Gilmer County authorities have arrested David Lee White, 22, of Delbarton, and issuing multiple charges against him while investigating a possible meth lab at Rosedale.

White is charged with a felon in possession of a firearm, obstructing/false information, and failure to register as a sex offender.

Gilmer authorities have also arrested Dixie Lynn Helmic, 35, charging her with possession of substances and wanton endangerment.

State Police in Gilmer County said the Rosedale residents were arrested after suspicions of a meth lab led the Glenville Detachment to respond to the residence.

No meth lab was found.

Police said Helmic had allegedly fired a pistol at houses in the immediate area.

When police secured the pistol as evidence, it was discovered to have been reported as stolen to the National Crime Information Center.

State Police said the search of a vehicle on the premises resulted in the discovery of marijuana and methamphetamine.

Helmic's bond was set at $101,000 and White's bond at $57,500, both in Central Regional Jail.
