Bobby Ray Burdette, Jr., 58 - Spencer

Bobby Ray Burdette, Jr., 58, of Spencer, West Virginia died Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer after a sudden illness.

He was born June 3, 1955 in Spencer a son of Doris Marie Taylor Burdette of Spencer and the late Bobby Ray Burdette. He owned and operated Burdette Petroleum Services, LLC and enjoyed his grandchildren, farming and hunting and loved to work.

In addition to his mother, Bobby is survived by his wife, Cathy Dye Burdette; two daughters, Christina Dawn and Bradley Keith of Seth, West Virginia, and Kari Godfrey of Spencer; one son, Scott and Ashley Burdette of Walton, West Virginia; two sisters, Loretta Sue and Gary Alvis and Nora Jane and "Bud" Bowman, both of Spencer; one brother, Paul DeWayne and Connie Burdette of Spencer; and nine grandchildren, Cassie, Trent, Hope and AnaBeth Keith, Shyanne and Taylor Godfrey, and Bayleigh, Nevaeh and Haelynn Burdette.

In addition to his father, Bobby was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Harley Rae Keith.

Service 1:00pm Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Rev. Larry Greathouse officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery in Reedy, West Virginia. Visiting hours are from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday at the funeral home.
