The Calhoun Commission canvassed ballots Friday cast in the Emergency Services-Criminal Justice Levy.

Calhoun Clerk Jean Simers said there was a less than 1% increase, following the canvass, supporting the levy, counting provisional ballots.

Most of the additional ballots canvassed were poll workers who voted out of their district.

The canvas total ended with 304 voting for the levy and 168 against.

The commission will certify the election next week.
