Junior Albert Moore, 92 - Glenville

Junior Albert Moore age 92 of Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Genesis Health Care Center, Glenville, following a brief illness.

Born October 28, 1921 in Gilmer County, son of the late Worthy and Ida Greenlief Moore.

Junior worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways, where he retired with over 20 years experience. He was a proud Army Veteran of World War II. In his later years he enjoyed watching television, especially old westerns, sports , and Fox News. He loved his cat "Smokey", and was a hardcore Boston Red Sox Fan.

On January 27, 1951 he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Nicholas, who preceded him in death on April 19, 2000.

Surviving are 6 children, Jim Moore and wife Kay of Taylorsville, Kentucky, Jack Moore of Glenville, Johnny Moore and companion Debbie Weaver of Gilmer Station, Mike Moore and wife Ashley of Sinking Creek, Jeane Fisher and husband Kenny of Glenville, and Jeanett Junkins and husband Tim of Burnt House; and 1 nephew, Richard Clevenger of Grafton, Ohio. There are 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren also surviving.

Junior was the last surviving member of his immediate family having been preceded in death by 1 son, Jeffery Moore, 4 brothers, Pete, Sam, Bill, and John Moore, 3 sisters, Opal Green, Arnette "Tip" Westfall, Drucilla Clevenger.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, West Virginia at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 with Pastor Bryan Groves and Pastor Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rhoades Cemetery on Kelly Run Road, Glenville, WV, with Full Military Honors. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 31, at the Mortuary.
