| Joan Davis Gordon, 63, of Orma WV, passed away in the ICU unit at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division in Charleston WV on January 24, 2014.
Joan was born to the late Lenora Mae Butler and the late Arlie Darrell Davis at her grandparents home on Rush Run in Orma WV on April 2, 1950.
She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Aristotle Butler and Mary Jane Cottrell; an older sister, Carol Ann Davis Durgan and a brother, Aristotle Darrell Davis, both of LeRoy NY. Also, her first daughter, Jessica Lynn Gordon, of Orma WV and stepfather, Emmett Cooledge of LeRoy NY.
Surviving Joan are three sons, Ronald James Gordon, Jr. and wife Dawn of Lawrenceville VA, Daniel Allen Gordon and wife Robin of Arnoldsburg WV, and Bobby Gordon of Spencer WV; a daughter, Amanda Jennette Gordon King and her husband James King of Orma, Ronald James Gordon, Sr.; and eight grandchildren. Also surviving her are her two younger sisters, Connie Davis Yopp of Orma and Joyce Davis Gray of Edwards NY; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Services will be held Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating. Burial will follow in the Minnora Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home form 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the services.
