SPENCER MAN RESCUED FROM APARTMENT FIRE EARLY TUESDAY

Roane County 911 dispatched responders to the Ann Street apartment complex in Spencer at 12:05 a.m. for a fire with entrapment. Residents reported a male subject on the floor of an apartment from which smoke was coming, saying they were unable to rescue the man. The Spencer-Roane VFD was dispatched to the scene. A medic who arrived on the scene,with assistance, removed the the man from the apartment. The fire, according to a 911 dispatcher, was likely related to burned food on a stove.
