ARCTIC THRASHING - Wind Chill Advisory, Sub-Zero Temps, Cold Poses Risks

(01/28/2014)
It's the winter we haven't had for several years.

A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 1 pm Tuesday, readings as low as 10 to 15 below zero.

Monday's nighttime temperature is predicted to drop to -3 degrees, but some areas will likely have even colder temperature.

Most West Virginia schools are closed.

Wind chill can impose some serious risks. Nighttime temperatures will hover near zero Tuesday and Wednesday night.

The Arctic temperatures pose risks for elderly people and people with health problems, including rapid frost bite.

The temperatures are also high risk for pets kept outside.
