Franklin Self, 62 - Elizabeth

Franklin Self, 62, of Elizabeth WV, passed away January 21, 2014 at Parkersburg Care Center after an extended illness. He was born in Gilmer County the son of the late Ottawa and Ruth (Queen) Self. He owned Self Logging Company of Elizabeth WV for over 30 years and was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his companion of 39 years Sharon Bevel; five children, Tracy and Lori Reed of Newark WV, Billy Bevel of Palestine WV; Sandra (Buddy) Winnell of Elizabeth, Timmy (Jessica Harris) Bevel of Grantsville WV; seven grandchildren, Calab, Cami, and Cole Winnell of Elizabeth, Audrey and Alex Bevel of Palestine, Mackenzie Bevel of Grantsville, and Dakota Stutler of Newark; brother and sisters, Autti (Patricia) Self of Gilmer Co., Patricia (Jim) Deem of Mineral Wells, Phyllis Bowe of Akron Ohio, Mary (Don) Pfalzgraf of Elizabeth, Dave (Ann) Self of Arnoldsburg WV and Connie (Jerry) Patterson of Elizabeth. Services will be Thursday January 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with Rev. Delmas Stutler officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. Interment will follow at Owl Hill Cemetery.
