Young scientists work on "Super Slurper" experiment

The WV Farm Bureau's Mobile Education Science Lab at Arnoldsburg Elementary School last week was a big hit with students.

The 40-foot Lab is a fully self-contained unit equipped with multiple research stations. A retired or certified teacher guides students while they conduct hands-on experiments designed to meet WV Department of Education standards. Children learn about the importance of agriculture in everyday living.

Students in all grades participated in hands-on science experiments including "Corn to Plastic,", "Super Slurper," "Colorful Bean," among others.

Students were introduced to science objectives, learned
safety precautions, engaged in hands-on experiments,
and most importantly enjoyed the demonstrations

The science lab was made possible by the generous donation of Minnie Hamilton Health System.
