A Wirt County starting varsity girl's basketball player is clinging to
life in a Columbus Hospital in critical
condition, according to WVRC Radio in Spencer.
Brandi Dennis 16, of Elizabeth was critically injured in an auto
accident along Rt. 53 shortly after 10 p.m. Wed.
She apparently lost control of her Grand Am, went over an embankment
and struck a tree. She was
reportedly ejected from the car. Grief counselors were on hand at Wirt
County High School for friends.
