A reported 42 customers were without natural gas in the Village of Arnoldsburg Wednesday evening.

Dominion Gas was on scene restoring the service to the residents and businesses Wednesday night.

Gas service in the village has been off and on for several days during the cold spell, causing the Village Bakery to close until the problem is resolved.

The gas company says the problem has surfaced since the opening of the new Arnoldsburg Elementary School, apparently causing service to be disrupted because of line pressure.

It was not clear if gas had been off at the new school.

A number of Arnoldsburg residents are saying their water is off, but that problem is likely linked to frozen water pipes.

Grantsville Mayor Curtis Garretson said the Mt. Zion PSD had not received reports of water being disrupted in the area.
