Audra J. Wade, 92 - Mt. Zion

Audra J. Wade, 92 of Mt. Zion, WV; departed this life at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at her son's residence following an extended illness.

Born March 4, 1921 in Gilmer County, daughter of the late Albert and Doshia Harris Williams.

Audra was a homemaker for most of her life, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, and milking her cows. Audra also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a Baptist by faith.

In December 1939 she was united in marriage to Herbert B. Wade, who preceded her in death on August 22, 1984.

Surviving are 2 sons, Clyde Wade and wife Peggy of Tanner, and Delmas Wade and wife Ellen of Mt. Zion; 1 sister, Thelma Demanski of Livonia, Michigan; 1 daughter-in-law, Margie Wade. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, Audra was preceded in death by 1 sons, Oras Wade; 2 daughters, Edith Bush and Loraine Wade; 3 sisters, Maude Tucker, Hulda Kight, and Lula Boone; 4 brothers, Shirley Ray Williams, Sherman Aaron Williams, Thurman Elton Williams, and Harold Elias Williams; 1 grandson, Paul Wade; and twin granddaughters that passed away at birth.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV, 26351 at 2:00 p.m. Sunday January 5, 2014 with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Three Poplar Cemetery on Holts Run, Route 5 West, Glenville. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
