| Wanda Mae Carpenter, 72, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, West Virginia.
She was born June 7, 1941 in Honolulu, Hawaii, a daughter of the late Eugene and Helen Gaspar. She formerly worked at Kellwood Company and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Carpenter; three daughters, Maria and Eric Hammonds, Mischell and Roger Hersman, and Cathy and Bryan Church, all of Spencer; a sister, Cammy Yeoman of Honolulu; and four grandchildren, Jason Hammonds, Megan and Dylan Hersman, and Cassidy Church.
Service will be at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Jackie Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartlett-Little Creek Cemetery on Triplett Road. Visiting hours are Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
