SCHOOLS AND LOCAL OFFICIALS HAVE MEMORIALS - Day Spent In Reflection Of 9-11

(09/12/2002)
Schools and local officials had 9-11 memorial services yesterday. Calhoun Middle and High School students had assemblies in the morning and afternoon in recognition of those who lost their lives in the attack on America.

Calhoun Commission President Larry McCallister led the observance in front of the Calhoun courthouse at noon, with Grantsville residents and courthouse employees attending.

Readings were given about 9-11, the strengths of the country, and prayers were lifted for America.

Calhoun Middle/School students heard the band play the national anthem and the school choir sang patriotic music. A slide and music presentation recalled the horror of 9-11.
